Karen joined the Oregon State Bar CLE Seminars Department in 2001 as a program attorney. She served as the department director from 2003 to 2020 and is currently the Oregon bar’s first Chief Equity and Professional Development Officer. Prior to becoming a CLE professional, she was a tax and transactional attorney and practiced in Oregon and Texas. A member of the Association for Continuing Education (ACLEA) since 2001, Karen has been involved in a variety of ACLEA activities, including serving on ACLEA’s Executive Committee and as President. Although her international travels are on pause during the current world health crisis, she remains a food experience enthusiast and a huge fan of dessert and the Oxford comma.
