Andriel Dees serves as the Vice Chancellor for Equity and Inclusion for the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities. In her current role, Andriel has oversight responsibilities for the system-wide strategy of Equity 2030 to ensure diversity, equity and inclusion principles and practices are infused throughout the 37 college and university system. Previously, Andriel was the Director of learner inclusion, diversity, equity, and engagement at Capella University. Andriel also served as Chief Diversity Officer for the University of Wisconsin at River Falls, and was a recipient of the UW System Outstanding Women of Color in Education Award. She began her career in higher education as the Associate Dean for Multicultural Affairs at William Mitchell College of Law. Andriel earned her Juris Doctorate from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia.
