Nicole Richmond
Nicole Richmond is a member of Biiigtigong Nishnaabeg First Nation, in Ontario Canada. She obtained a BA in Political Science and Philosophy at McMaster University and obtained her JD from the University of Toronto. On graduation, Nicole was awarded significant, university-wide leadership awards. Nicole also studies meditation, consciousness, energy-healing, alternative dispute resolution and restorative practices. Nicole's practice is as varied as her interests and experience, and her dedication to healing and well-being brings a unique perspective to her legal and advisory work. Nicole has been a sole practitioner since 2019 and her focus is on Anishinabek governance, education, employment and training, child wellbeing and capacity building. She enjoys facilitation, strategic planning and big picture thinking. Nicole provides legal support that is grounded in holistic practices, Anishinabe values and emotional intelligence. Nicole works with First Nations organizations to infuse principles of love, respect and compassion in their practices and relationships, while maintaining high standards and quality assurance protections.
