Eko K.A. Owen joined the State Bar of Texas in March 2020 as a Program Coordinator Assistant shortly after graduation from North Carolina State University. Since joining the Continuing Legal Education department, they have advanced to Program Coordinator, where they work closely with volunteers and marketing to facilitate 12 courses per year including Estate Planning & Probate and Bill of Rights. Aside from their responsibilities in their current role, they have written and presented a proposal for gender-inclusive volunteer forms and were on the ACLEA panel “Better Serving LGBTQ+ Lawyers and their Clients” in January 2022. Outside of the office, they can be found working through their far too-long TBR list, writing fiction, and cooking for their friends and partner.
Angelica Cesario is Lawline's Director of Attorney Education & Development, and is charged with overseeing content operations and developing content strategy for Lawline. She graduated cum laude from Amherst College with a B.A. in Women's and Gender Studies and a Certificate in Latino and Latin American Studies. She received her J.D. from Columbia Law School and is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey. Before joining Lawline, Angelica worked as a plaintiff-side labor & employment litigation attorney.
